While 'Originome' isn't as immediate and attention gathering as much of Nordvargr's work, it delivers one of his most consistent and subtle ambient albums, that thankfully keeps those slow, methodical drum slaps throughout most of it. Minor bursts of electrical current and a minimal amount of mutated chatter keeps these dark drone pieces well subdued.

This is a beautiful ambient album, unsuspecting from the ominous song titles. Yet, Nordvargr successfully wraps tentacles around nerves through speakers when I thought it was safe, but the process of creation itself releases them. An expression of concerntration only possible from mounting chaos and terrifying anxiety. How strange panic and terror channels such finesse.
